If the basic subjects from secondary school are lacking (English, mathematics, Icelandic and Danish) and there is an interest in starting studies again, Education support (Menntastoðir) may be considered.
Studying at Menntastoðir can provide access to preparatory studies at a university. This study path is available at some lifelong learning centers. Contact a career counsellor in your area for more information.
The study path has been available at Austurbrú in East Iceland, SÍMEY in Akureyri, MSS – Miðstöð símenntunar á Suðurnesjum, Mímir – lifelong learning in Reykjavík and Viska in Vestmannaeyjar.
