The University Gateway of Bifröst University is intended for people who are aiming for higher education but have not completed their matriculation exam.
Applicants must have completed 140 secondary school credits (fein), which is equivalent to 80–90 credits in the old credit system. In addition, at least one course in Icelandic, mathematics and English must have been completed. The University Gateway study program is eligible for a loan from the Student Education Fund.
Both on-site and distance learning are offered. The studies are divided into phases, each phase lasting seven weeks. See more here.
