Tinsmithing is a work-related study program at the secondary school level. The studies involve increasing knowledge and skills in the main materials used in tinsmithing, construction and maintenance of thin metal. Students also learn environmental and safety rules, to read drawings, and become familiar with systems and computer programs used in tinsmithing. It is possible to have skills acquired in the labour market evaluated.
Tinsmithing is a certified trade. The average duration of study is about three years in addition to 52 weeks of internship.
