Painting is a work-related study program at the secondary school level. This entails that students acquire the understanding, knowledge and skills required to deal with all common work aspects, from assessing the condition of a surface to achieving the desired finish. Also implementing various specialized tasks such as spackling buildings, decorative painting, sign making and implementations of older crafts such as painting marble and wood models. It is possible to have skills acquired in the labour market evaluated.
Painting is a certified trade. The average study period is four years, including vocational training, during which the progress of the workplace studies is recorded in an electronic logbook.
